Hello all of you pipe enthusiasts, pipe restorers and pipe makers who are looking for a very hard to find, RUSTICATION TOOL for your pipe work or hobby. I'm working toward becoming all 3. I've put this tool together myself and it works magnificently. You will be thrilled with the results! Press the Points Firmly into the wood and twist, raise the tool and again press firmly into the wood and twist the other direction, continuing twisting back and forth across the entire pipe area you want to rusticate. Resist going too deep in any one section of the pipe as you can misshapen the pipe if you’re not careful. Also, remember, you are most of the time pushing this tool towards yourself, be careful not to push it into your hands and or fingers, ouch! Last thing to do is take a Small wire brush to the rustication and remove any loose debris that is still clinging to the bowl.
